October saw the USASA Mid-Year meetings in Fort Lauderdale and sets the stage for the USL Annual General Meetings in Tampa and the SoccerEx show in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Also this month, many great organizations launched new sites in conjunction with the opening of the fall season, including:
Club Sport Girls: Club Sport Girls is a girls-only program in the St. Louis area that is in the process of building a great training facility for its players.
FC Long Beach: Formed in 2004 as a club component of the Long Beach Youth Soccer Organization, FC Long Beach plays competitively from U-11 to U-16 in elite Cal South leagues.
Howell United Soccer: Howell United consistently produces top New Jersey teams. In the past four years, 10 teams have advanced to at least the quarterfinals of the National State Cup Championships. Their annual Thanksgiving Holiday Cup always draws top teams from the area.
Jersey United Soccer: Jersey United is a 6-team club in central New Jersey that also operates Edge Sports Center, a top training facility. Through camps and other seasonal programs, Jersey United offers a complete solution for its players.
Lexington County Soccer Club: Located in Lexington, SC, LCSC is a classic club that participates in top leagues in South Carolina and Region III. Their top Challenge teams play in 3-4 regional tournaments in addition to top league play each season.
Long Island Professional Soccer: Long Island Professional Soccer (LIPS) is a comprehensive training company founded in 1998. While their camps are geared towards players of all abilities, LIPS also produces top-quality teams that participate in many national events each year.
Minnesota Revolution Soccer Club: Originally the Anoka Junior Soccer Association, the Revolution’s current identity began in 2006. The club has produced over 40 collegiate players and routinely places well in top tournament’s like the USA Cup.
Nether Providence AA Soccer: Located in Southeast PA, NPAA Soccer began in 1965 and has grown from 100 players to over 1,000. Top-level travel teams and the annual Robert Urban Memorial Tournament are hallmarks of NPAA.
Rappahannock County Soccer Assn.: Located near Shenandoah National Park west of Washington DC, RCSA offers programs for boys and girls U-6 to U-16.
Rockville Centre Lacrosse Club: Rockville Centre Lacrosse joins Rockville Centre Soccer and Rockville Centre Athletic Council with a new Demosphere website. Welcome!
Roswell Soccer Club: Formed by the Roswell Rec. and Parks Department in 1976, RSC has grown from a 6-team club to a 1,200+ player organization. Roswell Soccer Club routinely places players in ODP and brings together many high-level coaches and trainers to offer a well-rounded experience for players 4-19.
South Florida Elite FC: A newly formed club, South Florida Elite FC brings together the Coconut Creek Prowlers and East Broward United to form an elite club in greater Fort Launderdale. In their inaugural season, four teams captured tournament championships and are performing well in league play. Led by top trainers Jorge "Pitu" Alvarez and Charles Freitas, SF Elite FC is off to a flying start.
