As a youth sports organization, you should always be looking for ways to improve your website’s visitor experience.
Google Analytics is installed on all Demosphere WebWriter® websites to allow administrators to do just that. However, without any prior training, Google Analytics can be a bit overwhelming. This free Maximize Demosphere webinar helps sort through all the numbers to provide some actionable data that all administrators can use.
The session covered the following topics:
- Key Terms - To understand the data, you have to understand the language. We spent time discussing high level terms like visits, unique visits, page views, pages/visit, and bounce rate, among others.
- Basic Data – Here, we became detectives. Amongst some of the basic reports available like traffic sources, referring sites, top content, and more, we looked at ways to make this data more useful by adjusting visitor segments, secondary dimensions, and adding annotations.
- Advanced – By taking a few small steps, the data in Google Analytics can be much more useful to you. Here, we talked about custom dashboards, creating goals, KPIs, tracking conversions, the URL builder, and saving time with shortcuts.
- Sponsors – Finally, many youth sports organizations are looking to attract more sponsors to help offset costs and finance new programs and operations. We focused on a few key data points that are most interesting to potential new sponsors and some that are great to show existing sponsors to convince them to renew with you!
Overall, there’s something for everyone – some beginner ideas to help get introduced plus some advanced topics to really optimize an existing operation. We hope you can join us for a future Maximize Demosphere session!
