Generating schedules for leagues can be challenging and Demosphere's League Scheduling System can certainly help. To make life even easier, game schedules can be audited by several reports under the Scheduling Administration element. These audit reports provide a convenient way to manage the multitude of rules and constraints that must be followed to generate the best possible game schedule for your teams. Two new audit reports have been added:

• Team Day, Home/Away Balance. This report provides detailed information about how many games each team plays by day of the week and whether their overall balance of home vs. away games is within acceptable limits. Any team that has more home than away games (or differs by more than one if the total is an odd number) is highlighted for further examination.
• Team Time Balance. This report provides detailed statistics on what time each team plays throughout the season and how many games they have at each particular time.

Earlier today, Facebook released its Timeline update for Brands and Businesses. Previously, this was only available for individuals. The change brings big changes in features and functionality and also some new functions specific to brands.

For the early adopters, HubSpot has put together an initial set of best practices for the new Timeline that's worth reviewing.

The Seattle Sounders Women, a top team in USL's W-League, has had quite an impressive month. After rebranding due to their affiliation with the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer, the team hit the ground running for 2012 with exciting player acquisitions and a newly launched website powered by Demosphere.

By capitalizing on the free agent market, the team has signed three players from the U.S. Women's National Team - Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, and Sydney Leroux. With this impressive core, the team is set to make a run in 2012 to the W-League Championship. The trio has also garned significant media attention as well and could possibly be the highest profile team in the long history of the league.

Within Team Applications in your Demosphere-powered League Scheduling and/or Tournament Management System, communicating with teams has become easier than ever! Among the various team contacts collected on the application, teams can now indicate a Primary Contact amongst a potential collection of Coach, Assistant Coach, and Manager.

After this is designated, administrators may select the Primary Contact as the recipient of a mass email rather than mailing everyone or just Managers. This way, the designated Primary Contact can be sure to get the message.
