WWPSA - Success Story

"When trying to develop a more polished club, first comes a logo and a very close second is your website,” says Justin Stein, President of West Windsor-Plainsboro Soccer Association (WWPSA). WWPSA has both elements covered, the website thanks to Demosphere’s WebWriter® Website system.

Prior to using WebWriter, the club had one volunteer that handled the website. If any other club member wanted something posted to the site, they had to wait for it to go through the webmaster. In 2007, WWPSA partnered with Demosphere to develop a new website that would be more user-friendly. “There is no doubt it's easier. We have nearly 500 volunteers. We had to find a way to communicate,” comments Stein. Today, over fifty people have access and are able to post articles and updates and another twelve or so have full administrator access. This means that a new article is posted each day on mutliple sections of the site. The benefits for the club include less of a time commitment for administrators, more direct involvement for volunteers, and happy parents that find the site easy to navigate.

WWPSA also uses Online Registration to help streamline what can be a hectic process. Prior to using Demosphere, registration was still online, but access was limited to the webmaster, much like the website. Again, this proved to be inefficient when other members needed registration information and had to wait for one person to get it to them. Stein remarks, “Now with Demosphere’s Online Registration System, we have the ability to quickly disseminate information to anyone who needs it. There is no question that it is a very efficient way to do things. It is designed with not only administrators in mind, but parents too.”

In addition, the League Scheduling System is used. Stein says, “Scheduling for our leagues can be very daunting. The scheduling software is very robust yet very simple for the lay person.” The web-based software can be applied for the areas of the site that need it.
