Description of Soccer Activities Supported by Civitan Soccer Club
Arlington Soccer Association - Recreational Soccer League Play- Fall & Spring Seasons- Civitans is a charter member of ASA. Teams play eight games each season. The Fall season begins in Mid-September and finishes in early November. The Spring season begins in April and ends in early June. Practices are normally held once a week and begin 2-3 weeks before the 1st scheduled game. The registration periods for Civitan Soccer teams are: February 1- April 1 for Spring soccer, and June 1 - August 31 for Fall soccer.
Arlington Indoor Youth Soccer - The Arlington Parks & Recreation department offers a Winter Indoor Soccer program at the Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center located on S. 4 Mile Run Drive. Teams register through the recreation department in age divisions U8, U10, U12, and U14. The registration deadline is in early November. League play runs from late November through February.
Arlington Travel Soccer Club - ATSC is the premier level of the Arlington Soccer Association. ATSC teams compete in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League, National Capital Boys Soccer League, and the Old Dominion Soccer League. Tryouts are held each May and June for the Fall season. Civitans Soccer Club encourages any of our players with above average skills to tryout for travel soccer. ATSC players receive advanced training and are given the opportunity to develop soccer skills at a rapid rate. Many Civitan players play on Arlington travel teams. Civitan Soccer Club provides financial assistance for players to play travel soccer. Contact the club manager to apply for travel soccer financial aid.
