New Version of Demosphere's Online Registration Released
|
Demosphere's online registration system recently received an upgrade! This includes a new look and feel along with countless enhancements to streamline the user experience. In addition, some of Demosphere's fee-based add-ons are now included at no extra charge! This includes Demosphere's donation only system and the background check application feature (previously named KidSafe). There are also several brand new items including a scholarship feature, a new season setup wizard and a registration setup error detection tool.
All new features and enhancements were provided at no additional cost to our current clients and we invite those that are not yet taking advantage of our online registration system to explore what we have to offer by contacting

| New Addition to the Demosphere Team |
 Mike Rosenow is the latest addition to the Demosphere Account Management team. Mike spent the last three years working for the Frederick Keys (minor league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) where he was Sales Ticket Manager. While there however, he wore many hats and it wasn't uncommon to see him dressed up as the Keys mascot, a giant tooth, or even a scorecard girl!
Mike graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a degree in Sport Management. Here he had his first introduction to the soccer culture living with members of the soccer team for the first 3 years and helping manage the team for a couple of semesters.
Mike was born and raised in Pleasantville, NY and is probably the only person in the area that roots for the Red Sox. Being an overall sports fan, Mike also supports the NY Giants and the York College Men's Basketball Team (Spartans made the Division III Final Four in 2005). He also like going to concerts, baseball games and any place where someone will cook him food!

REMINDER: New Text Editor to be Released Jan 15th!

As a reminder, Demosphere is releasing the new text editor to enhance your administrative experience with our products. This new editor will be turned on for ALL customers effective January 15th. Please feel free to browse our Knowledge Base (accessed from your admin home page) for tips on using this new feature. Additionally, our support team has created some help videos to walk through some of the key new features including an easy to use new file upload feature! Please contact our support team for any questions related to the new text editor.

Demosphere-On-The-Go!
|
 Demosphere kicked off 2009 by attending the New Jersey Youth Soccer Expo on January 3rd in Edison, New Jersey. Representing the company was Chief Operating Officer, Ben Jones and Account Representative, Mike Rosenow. The annual event was attended by hundreds of state officials, coaches, volunteers and players from New Jersey in addition to some from Pennsylvania and New York. Demosphere had the great pleasure of meeting with and talking to new faces and, as always, re-connecting with many existing customers.
Demosphere also had the pleasure of hosting an autograph signing with U.S. Women's National Soccer Team member and New Jersey native Carli Lloyd. The Rutgers alum, who most recently scored the game winning goal in the Gold Medal Game for the US team at the 2008 Olympics, promoted her Demosphere-powered site (www.carlilloyd.com) and met hundreds of fans and signed autographs throughout the day.

  Coaches across Continents have begun an amazing social initiative to use soccer balls made in Africa to help educate children on life and leadership skills. Balls made in Africa help communities by employing men and women and each ball has a health message on a panel to educate young people. US soccer communities are encouraged to support this program by clicking on: "A soccer ball changes many lives".

Get Going Demosphere!
|
 Demosphere's own Miles Baker (M/F) and Greg LaPorta (D) have been running a competitive men's soccer team in Northern Virginia - FC Erwin. Last spring FC Erwin joined a new league starting in Division 3. They finished the season strong with the league's leading goal scorer on the roster and earned promotion to the next division up. After losing a few key players mid season in the Fall, the team finished mid-table in Division 2. They will be back in action this Spring, and with successful recruiting they will attempt promotion to the First Division!

Changes to Tournaments and League Standings
A new feature is available within standings that provides greater flexibility in customizing the calculation of standings for tournaments and leagues. There are also more tie-breaker possibilities which will assist those with specific needs. For more information about how this works click here.
